Background

Picture
I was born in Brazil but grew up in Riverside, California, after my family immigrated to the United States.  Growing up I loved playing football, basketball, soccer, and baseball with my brothers and the kids in the neighborhood but I was always fascinated by my oldest brother's interest in science.  So, after graduating from high school in Riverside, I majored in Electrical Engineering at California Polytechnic University where I obtained both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

As an engineer, I worked for a number of different technology companies ranging from large aerospace manufacturers to small start-ups.  In addition, the projects I worked on were as varied as the companies themselves.  Ranging from long term high tech projects to quick turn around project, from circuit design to software development, and aircraft avionics to manufacturing automation.  Through all of this I saw how a company could properly protect their intellectual property portfolio from their competitors and disgruntled employees.  I also saw companies lose key portions of their intellectual property because they lacked the proper safeguards to protect them.

After many years as a successful engineer I returned to school to pursue a Juris Doctor degree with an emphasis on Intellectual Property.  I wanted to be in a position where I could help companies protect what really is their most important growth asset - their creative skill - from those that want to simply copy it.  With my admission to the California Bar and to the United States Patent and Trademark Office along with my extensive engineering background I am in the position to help you protect all of the creative works of your business.  Let me do so!
